Mountain Plaza Hotel: Situated at the heart of Davos Platz, the Mountain Plaza Hotel is the ultimate choice for active guests. This four-star hotel boasts a comprehensive range of amenities, including a wellness area with an indoor pool and a restaurant featuring a Stübli, ensuring moments of relaxation within the hotel. With multiple seminar rooms and a total of 210 rooms, the hotel is exceptionally well-suited for corporate events, ski clubs, and group gatherings.

The 2.5- and 3.5-room apartments at Parsenn Resort provide accommodation for 2 to 6 people, making them an ideal choice for families, friends, and couples. The 30 modern apartments come fully equipped and furnished. With direct ski-in access from the Parsenn valley run, guests can conveniently reach their accommodation, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay.

Camping RinerLodge on Rinerhorn in Davos Glaris is open in summer and in winter, welcoming all camping-loving visitors, whether they arrive with a tent, in a caravan, or camping bus.

For those arriving by car, parking is available at all valley stations. Moreover, all locations are excellently connected to public transport and conveniently located next to a train station. The Pischa valley station is situated in the Flüela valley and can be easily accessed either by car or by Pischabus.

The journey from Zurich Airport or the city of Zurich to Davos and Klosters typically takes around two hours. Both destinations are easily accessible by train or car, with the route leading through Landquart and the Prättigau region.

In Davos Klosters, guests with electric vehicles benefit from the convenience of charging their vehicles during their mountain visits or at our hotels. We are continuously expanding our network of charging locations and currently have EV-charging stations available at many of our hotels and valley stations.

Davos Klosters Mountains employs more than 170 people year-round. Additionally, there are approximately 120 seasonal employees during the summer season and around 450 during the winter season, working for the mountain railroads, culinary establishments and hotels.

In a large ski resort like the Davos Klosters Mountains, the expenses associated with maintaining the ski slopes amount to CHF 100,000 per day. These costs encompass daily piste grooming, snowmaking operations, and investments in piste safety. This data is derived from the annual statistics of Seilbahnen Schweiz.

Approximately 400 snow marker are used for technical snowmaking in the ski resorts. Snowmaking efforts predominantly occur during the months of November and December. The creation of a sufficiently thick snow layer serves as crucial protection for the underlying terrain, safeguarding it from the demands of winter sports.

Heroes of the night: The piste basher drivers hit the slopes once all the guests have put away their skis. Conducting a thorough piste inspection, the drivers of these vehicles embark on their nightly journey across the mountains. Their mission: meticulously groom the slopes for the following day. In the largest ski resort, Parsenn, as many as 20 piste bashers are deployed each evening to ensure optimal skiing conditions

Slope safety procedures commence early in the morning. Over the course of a winter season, approximately 2,800 kg of explosives are detonated by the rescue team at Davos Klosters Mountains. In around 24 missions, helicopters are dispatched to perform controlled explosions in hard-to-reach areas. These blasting operations play a critical role in preventing avalanches during skiing activities, ensuring a safe skiing experience. In addition to manual blasting, the ski areas are also equipped with stationary blasting systems that are permanently installed for ongoing safety measures.

The rescue team at Davos Klosters Mountains responds swiftly to emergencies, whether they occur on or off the ski slopes. They embark on approximately 700 rescue missions each winter season (1,000,000 initial entries), ensuring the safe transportation of injured individuals to the hospital. Beyond the joys of skiing, our dedicated employees are also there to support you during less pleasant moments.

For more than a decade and across more than 100 projects, we have been dedicated to fostering sustainable mountain tourism. We actively champion the adoption of renewable energies on our mountains and within our hotels, incorporating our own small-scale power plants and solar panels. Resource conservation is a top priority, and we continually enhance the efficiency of our operational processes, including snowmaking and snow grooming. Through these measures, our aim is to protect the environment and preserve the biodiversity of our mountains.

Annually, we generate approximately 780,000 kWh of environmentally-friendly electricity from our two hydroelectric power plants, Jschalp and Bolgen, located on Jakobshorn. Within the existing pressure lines of our snowmaking infrastructure, mountain water is directed through three turbines, effectively generating electricity.

Through our Solar Energy Master Plan, we are committing 10 million Swiss francs to future electricity production using solar energy. Over the next 5–7 years, we plan to outfit approximately 40 new locations in the mountains and in the valley with solar power systems. As of today, numerous photovoltaic installations in the Davos Klosters Mountains are already generating environmentally-friendly electricity.

We generate 60 per cent of the energy required for snowmaking on Jakobshorn directly on site. Through two hydroelectric power plants and a multitude of photovoltaic installations, we produce eco-friendly electricity derived from both water and solar power sources on Jakobshorn.

After the snow has melted, we mobilise volunteers to join us in our efforts: During our annual mountain clean-up events, we collectively gather up to 400 kg of litter left in nature, ensuring its proper disposal. This vital initiative helps maintain the cleanliness of our mountains as a habitat for both wildlife and plant life.

With the Mountain Hotels, we offer four CO₂-neutral accommodation options. These establishments derive their heat and hot water through environmentally-friendly methods, either from geothermal energy or 100 per cent Swiss wood pellet heating systems. In addition, the hotels also feature rooftop photovoltaic systems that generate eco-friendly electricity.
